The third annual Summer School “Global Management in the Automotive Industry” officially started on Monday 2nd September 2013 at ŠKODA AUTO University. This year the school was titled “Production and Logistics in Automotive Industry”. The event is being attended by not only 20 czech students, but also by 30 students from partner universities from Germany, Austria, Spain, Finland and Slovakia. Over the course of three weeks, students will be dealing with production and logistic issues focused on the automotive industry in 8 intensive courses. Lecturers of the programme are not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Germany, Finland and Spain. In addition to theoretical lectures, course participants will also visit the ŠKODA’s production plant and its assembly line, training centre for the optimisation of production processes called the Lean Centre and the parts warehouse.
