The thought of a Republican controlled Senate is terrifying. Almost 76 years ago, on Nov. 9 & 10 in 1938, there was an event in several European nations known as KRISTALLNACHT or the night of broken glass when people known as Nationalsozialismus, who wore red arm bands with unique symbols, decided that a specific group of people were inferior and that they should relinquish their dignity, their civil rights, their God-endowed rights, their possessions and in some cases their lives because they were inferior in the eyes of those who chose to persecute them. Today, we have new group who call themselves patriots who carry a yellow flag with a serpent on it. Their FINAL SOLUTION is: 1) Degrading Social Security, Medicare and Welfare 2) Not increasing the minimum wage nor expanding Medicaid. 3)Fighting the Affordable Care Act tooth and nail 4)Fighting Immigration Reform 5)Denying climate change and ultimately driving out, with poverty or killing, those that they deem to be undesirable. Sound familiar?
