The three queens Devina arrives at her sisters grand wedding to Jax , but she is there only to give a super hot gift to beautiful queen ans steal her throne once more Chapter 3 The Wedding: (Death as only one Master, fire, I cannot see over the flames of Death) Long years have passed…… Sometime had passed and Aristia and Jax fell in love. One day Jax took her on a hunt. They were riding through the forest when he stopped. Aristia wondered why they were going so far deep in the woods. She asked her handsome woodland Prince. “I am trying to find a quiet place, so we can be alone to talk, “Jax joked as he rode. Aristia always knew Jax had a sense of humor somewhere deep. “It becomes him,” she thought. “You find the castle, with the many rooms and hiding places not to be private,” Aristia laughed. Then they stop for a moment and rode on. Jax finally stopped, when they feasted their eyes on this great golden rock in the middle of the Fairy forest. It was autumn and the golden leaves covered the earth. A blue stream could be heard in the short distance. They both dismounted the royal steeds. Both silently took each other’s hands and gazed into each other’s eyes. As Aristia walked she swept up the leaves she walked with much grace to the rock nearby and leaned against it. Aristia broke the silence. “What is it my love,” Aristia asked. “I wish to ask you something my lady.’ Jax replied with smile. The suns golden rays reflected off Aristia’s long golden hair. Jax took his finger and traced her face and her nose has well. Aristia felt that was odd. Both gazed deeply. Jax bent on one knee before her “My lady, my queen, my love, I must confess to you,” Jax spoke in a lenient tone. “I have loved you, all these long years. For you are the most beautiful of the she-elves in this land. “I have looked deeply into those eyes and so I know that you love me as well,” Aristia expressed with whisper. Jax felt around in his satchel. “I know this is not much, but it belong to my mother Ladonna, she was the woodland queen and oh so wise.” He spoke looking into her blue eyes. He pulled out a ring of gold and green. Jax continued, as butterflies welled up inside Aristia stomach, for she already knew what he was going to ask. She had never spoken to him about her true feelings. She wanted him, to find his love for her on his own. Jax continued. “Will you marry me Aristia?” Aristia did not hesitate to say yes. After Jax slipped the ring on her finger, He picked her up and they kissed passionately and what seemed like a long time. As they returned to their horses they held hands. They mounted their horses once again, and rode back to the castle. That night Aristia announced their engagement to all of Enchantia and invited everyone to the wedding. She announced to all who was present that they would be married mid-summer. Months had passed and the wedding day had at last arrived. Aristia was so excited when Cassie appeared, she hug her younger sister and noticed that she was with child. “What is it,” she asked,” as her pixie maidens helped the queen put her dress on. “It’s a male, and he will be called Maximus,” Cassie said with a smile. “His father is one of my knights. I am sorry sister I did not invite you to the wedding, I just wanted the wedding to be Solex and me; I was going tell you soon I swear,” she continued. “No worries today my dear sister, what is past is past, no one can undo it,” Aristia said with a slight giggle. “Only you can my sister,” Cassie said chided, looking over at Aristia. “Before you marry today sister,” Cassie said. “I must tell you some most distressing news,” Cassie paused. She was not exactly looking forward in talking to her about this, especially today. But it could not wait. “What is it Cassie, you look torn, “Aristia spoke. But she only pretended to hear, for it was her wedding day with Jax and nothing was going to spoil it. “Our sister has escaped the forest of redemption, “Cassie told her. Aristia did not look shocked. “I know she did,” Aristia said. “Maybe she found the forgiveness and the forest released her “Aristia retorted with a sigh. “That is not likely, “Cassandra answered back. As matter of fact that was not the case at all. “Why else would she be able to leave,” Cassandra,” Aristia paused as she brushed her long blond silky hear. She was not happy discussing this particular subject on her wedding day. “Why bring this to my attention now? I do not care where she is as long as she creating chaos or discord, “Aristia pointed out. “And you are not distressed, “Cassandra queried. “I had tried to find her. I sent out winged scouts. But it seems our little sister is nowhere to be found,” Cassie said. “Maybe she does not want be found,” Aristia quipped. Aristia yawned; already she had an exhausting day. Aristia didn’t want to spoil her day, by talking about Devina and where she might be. Devina did not want to be found by her sisters. She was her own queen in her own realm. The dark kingdom stunk of trolls, it was dark and gloomy. The castle was the tallest in the land, even bigger than Aristia’s. It towered so high that when you looked to the ground all you can see was clouds. The one exception was the dominion Cassie reined over, Sky Mountain. Aristia had chosen not to build a castle in the clouds for then she could not look upon the meadow of golden flowers. Even Luna the moon princess would not shine her moon rays upon such a dark and murky place. Nothing since Cornella’s kingdom stood was there a place so dark in the realm of Enchantia. Devina sat in the great hall, of the castle Egmish. She had been queen for many dark and long years. She did not spend too much time in the forest of redemption. Devina had nothing that she regretted, that was the weakness of the spell that kept her there. Devina had a lot of resentment, especially towards Aristia. For long time she wanted her revenge for Aristia banishing her. She sat on her throne consumed with her loathing. Devina, was angered on how Aristia dismissed her so easily. As Devina sat on her throne wondering how she could usurp her dear sister, a very ugly fairy named Grunx rushed into the throne room. He had to tell her about a rumor he just heard. Grunx was fairy mixed with troll. His eyes were squinty, but black as night. He hardly had any teeth in his mouth as well as very fine hair on his head, and all of his body. “What is it Grunx do you bring me this day.” She asked. “I bring you most interesting news, majesty,” …… He said has he backed away. “What,” Devina interrupted. “Aristia is engaged,” He continued. “That is most interesting Grunx. To whom is she engaged to may I ask? “Devina asked. “It seems your majesty that Aristia is to be married to the woodland tribe prince, his name is Jax. Rumor has it that they are going to merge the two tribes into one,” Grunx explained. Devina looked intently for a moment and pondered what that actually meant for her. Then she asked, “When?” “Tonight, when the great sun returns to rest,” Grunx replied. “Why was this news not brought to me sooner,” Devina demanded to know. “The spy’s I order to your sister’s kingdom had not returned until late in the night of last. They traveled by foot back to Egmish,” Grunx explained as shook in fear. “Well then I must think of a plan and soon,” replied Devina. “You go fairy, GO NOW! “She demanded. The fairy then left without hesitation. She sat and thought of a plan of attack, for that day she will bring justice to her heart. Her sinister laughter was heard all around in the great dark hall. Soon she devised a plan very sinister, very dark one. Then the trolls gathered into the great dark and smelly hall. All you could hear were grunts and jeers for the queen. Not all of them consider her the right choice for their king. Devina hushed the trolls, and then spoke “I have a plan of attack, and we must not hesitate. For tonight is the night. WE WILL BRING ARISTIAS RULE TO AN END!” The evil she-elf continued in a threatening voice “We will make the humans our slaves and once again the elves and the trolls will rule the human world. After the announcement the trolls marched most triumphantly out of the great hall. Devina, summoned her istar to her side and began to speak to him, “you know, my friend, she has not closed that portal yet and vengeance will be ours at last. “Queen Devina urged her fairy friend. Devina called for her mate a darker creature then herself, his name is Manamack; a big ugly hairy troll, who showed no sympathy for humans and at times no mercy for his own kind. He was taller than a normal troll, he was also half ogre. His hands had only four fingers and they were covered with very dark bristly hair. His nose was long and thin, long enough to stir his soup if he so desired. But there was always something familiar about him. One eye sat in the center of his forehead, opening and shutting with green goo underneath. He was even hideous to his own kind. Often he would go to the human world in the middle of the night and bring back a head of human as a trophy and give it to his wife. Devina would relish her little gifts from her mate. For she saw the humans as he did, they were the animals, to be hunted and to be caught and caged. Some would be used as pets, and some for better purposes. “We once were the majority; the humans stole our home, and forced us into hiding. But now I am going to balance the scales,” Devina said has she clutching one of her crystals. Again catching a glimpse of her reflection of herself, it was still unfamiliar to her, sometimes she would feel conflicted. The only thing that made her have sense of clarity was this necklace. A blue gem necklace she had gathered from her mother’s room. Aldora had found it near the ground where Grannion had fallen after Gallian stabbed him. It would often speak to Devina, telling her what must be done. She always thought it was just a good luck charm for her. She did not know exactly the truth about the necklace. Devina stomach turned at thought of going to Aristia’s wedding; she had not spoken to Aristia or to Cassie since that dreadful day their mother was murder, since they arrived. She didn’t need Aristia’s sense of peace or pity for the humans, a traitor she thought. As well as a traitor to her own people. Devina became harder through the years, her short stay in the forest of redemption, didn’t change her much. It was lucky for her she was found by Mormamack after her escape. He had her taught by his knights and his istar. They also taught her very bad habits, such as drinking and spitting out mead, eating with her hands. She didn’t fall in love with the king rather his power. She knew being queen would only help her later. The sphere of magic, Devina carried in her small pouch, stayed on her neck, until she had a statue made of herself in the swamp for the sole intent of hiding it there. She loved the swamp that was nearby, the vines and all the frightening creatures. Especially the monster she created, he was called Womp. He lived deep between the brown and greenish water, where Womp had his lair. He emerged only for Devina, because he was her own special creation. He towered over her by many feet. His body was all greenish black and slimy. His odor stunk up the whole of the swamp even worse. He was covered what looked like green and blackish vines and has he moved they moved with him. He had two red eyes and horn in the middle of his head. When Devina would summon he would make a loud thump and the water would ripple. He would answer with deep monstrously voice. Has she sat on her throne of slimy black wood, she pondered what kind of plan she possibly could come up with. She remembered the old she-elf in the woods, what she told her about drinking the blood of magical creatures. But she could never bring herself to do it. Even though she had the powers Aristia did, know foe would stand against her. “You would think with all my sisters,” She started to say to Grunx. “With all her powers, she would do something a little more creative with her kingdom. It’s a joke. No one takes her seriously. She has the power to control all. But she uses it to protect the humans and those who go against their true elven nature,” She finished. Devina stood up and walked over to the tall windows looking far down into the clouds. She folded her hands and spoke again in low and nasty tone, “She sits on a field of roses and fuchsias and flowers. They, stink Grunx, they stink of weakness! She has wasted her gift she was born with for peace. Sitting on her mighty golden throne and passing judgment on everyone. She passed judgment on me so she would retain all the power. She is a little girl playing queen; she has no stomach for power.” “The kingdom was to be divided into three, according the stories. These guardians decided this so there would be no more bloodshed, no more civil war. She did stop me from burning down that village you see. Because she herself the very moment she found our mother dead wanted to do the same. She knew I was going to do it. Are minds were one that day.” Devina continued. Devina did nothing that afternoon but insult Aristia during lunch. She seized a big peace of beast meat and shoved it in her mouth, like she herself was an animal and devoured it. Then Manamack arrived and sat down next to her. He had nothing to say, he just ate along with her. He had an enormous chunk of mutton meat that he was salivating over, picking at it with his finger and then licking it. Green ooze would come out his nose as he chewed. . “I am the one who got revenge, which I had the last laugh at those villagers, it was me. It was me who took control and went after them, while the two of them sat and wept. Then I get punished for and sentence to the Forest of Redemption that my dear sister expelled me to,” she ranted away... Devina did not think that she could stomach, a wedding, where she had to pretend to be happy for Aristia. She thought her sister weak with all her loving emotion, it made her feel nauseating. Elvans were not supposed to have emotions. She thought Aristia had been too close to the human world; after all she tried to play with human children, until Devina burned one of them. She believed the humans got what they deserved, but it was not enough. She knew that the portal door was still open. She knew the creatures can go through the portal into the human world and would be able to come back again. “I suppose even some of her wedding guest are coming through the threshold this very moment.” She said to Grunx. Grunx just watched continuously as food was falling out of her mouth. “Aristia never moved it; never closed it, she wanted her guards to be able to make sure no human trespassed into our world. Aristia had left it open; she wanted her brothers and sisters of our kind to find sanctuary from the human world in Enchantia. Aristia knew mortals were fools and were blinded; they would never be able to fine the portal on their own. They would have to be guided to it by another magical creature that could see it, so Aristia felt no need to close it,” Devina continued. At the very last minute, she contrived a plan and it was a good one. She would go to Aristia’s wedding, and then while she was there her army of trolls would go by night invading the human world. The wedding would distract everybody including the guards and no one would notice, until it was too late. Perfect she thought. The whole realm will be distracted and the guards would not be at the portal. The king of the trolls would take all his forces to the human domain and bring them back, and I will hold them captive. She could blackmail her sister with the humans, bargaining with her with the human lives and in return her as queen of the realm. “It just might work, Aristia is so weak.” She told Grunx as she cackled. Devina summoned her troll army, hundreds of them shaking the very floor into the great hall. She also summoned Womp her very special creature, he was going to guard the gate. The only light in the very dark hall, were torches hanging from the walls. Manamack sat beside her on the left. He was too busy picking his nose to really pay attention to what Devina was planning. She made her final announcement of a specific plan for that evening.” My sister Aristia the so called queen of this realm, is getting married this day.” She said. There was a great Echoing through the great hall; all loud jeers from every corner were heard. “She is getting married,” Devina repeated. “I am ordering you to follow your king, into the night, through the portal, which sits on the mound of flowers not very far from the castle,” Devina paused to breathe. “I will be attending the wedding, making sure that during the ball in the evening no one discovers or tries to stop you,’ She said sharply. “You will return on the same evening and bring me many captives, and some of you will storm the castle. I will in turn deal with my two sisters,” Devina continued. She did not elaborate on how she was going deal with them, just that she would. “It is time for us to take back what Aristia has stolen from us; Devina voice was bitter and hollow, she was full of rage. Loud grunts came from everywhere; some trolls stumped their feet on the ground with approval, some just stood and turned and drank their ale. Devina took her finest steed and raced toward Aristia’s kingdom, uttering an elfish spell that made her faster than the wind. Shortly after that she appeared before the great golden gates of the castle. Guards stood on top of each side of the gate pointing their arrows to the ground, waiting for an intruder to come. Devina tried to use magic to gain entry but it did not work. “Well that is smart,” she thought. Devina, was not able to appear inside the castle walls by magic. “Well at least my sister is doing something right with her magic,” she whispered. Then she looked down at her dress, uttering more spells. Her dress and her very look changed in an instant, from black and torn, to a blue tinted ball gown. She even topped it off with a flowery headdress, which looked kind of odd on her... she rode her horse to the opening of the gate. ‘WHO GOES THERE,” Shouted the knight. Devina was not going to be stopped at this point, again uttering elfish language, but to no avail. “I am Devina, queen Aristia’s sister,” Devina announced herself. “Liar,” the gatekeeper shouted. “The lady Cassie is already within our walls, now leave,” the guardsmen ordered. This made Devina even angrier, to not even acknowledge one had another sister, how dear Aristia. Devina threw up her hands and utter another spell in elfish, both of the elven knights fell to the ground and slept. She thought about killing them, but she didn’t want to be noticed not quite yet. After that she made the gates opened. A few minutes had passed and guards awoken without any memory of strange she-elf. She rode fast through the gates of the castle. The gates stood golden and tall. The gate had a big silver leaf in the center. ” WEAK,” she thought of them. When she entered the castle courtyard, she was amazed it was all gold. The very stone her horse walked upon was white marble. Fuchsia (undoubtedly Aristia’s favorite flower) lined up against that great golden wall that surround the castle. Silver vines of leaves crawled up the side of the gate and the walls. Devina scoffed at the many creatures waking about the courtyard. Some even bowed their head at Devina, not even knowing who she was. Devina’s horse a giant white steed, with soft blue eyes, and whinnied at the guests as they passed by. She looked over to the mer-people at the banks of the great blue mote, watching the festivities. People were so jubilant; they were so excited about the queen’s marriage. Devina, felt very oddly out of place. The sun was so bright reflecting off the courtyard it was hard to see. She was so use to the darkness of the kingdom of Egmish, which means death, and darkness. Devina squinted her eyes has she rode slowly. A white unicorn galloped up to her steed and nudged the steed in a polite way as to say hello. “Ghastly creature,” she said under her breath. She looked over ahead and saw a pale white Pegasus fly threw the sky. Some lightening birds, as well as phoenix’s perched themselves, on the castle towers as if they were guarding it. She knew the feeling of love was all around. She saw pixies sprinkling dust all around, and on the top of some very tall elves. There were even dwarfs, garden gnomes, and some very playful fairies flying around. Some of the pixie dust even hit her square in the head. Devina did not like that. “Disgusting.” she muttered as she rode on. Devina was in awe when two golden centaurs roamed about the courtyard. Their bodies were golden and their hair was blue as the sky. There even stranger elves that she never seen before. They huddle in a group together, and they looked very peculiar at her. She noticed something odd, all of them may have had different color hair, but they all had silver eyes. “Distant relatives,” she thought in her head. But another voice told her they were a great danger to her and to look away. So she did and moved on, without another thought. For one brief second she felt some warmth in her that she never felt. But she quickly dismissed any of that kind of feeling. She may have been a little bit envious of her sister. Devina did not know quite where to go. But by the sound of all the laughter and song in the courtyard was piercing to her. Especially the sound of an old elfish song, it was coming from the garden nearby. Devina dismounted off her horse and walked toward the music. The steed simply vanished into thin air. She saw the assembly of elves sitting in silver chairs, and air was at peace, the aroma of the flowers intoxicating. As she got closer she noticed that the wedding was about to start when she entered the Majestic garden. “My sister can really out do herself with this peace and love,” she thought in head. “This is weakness. It is better to be cold hearted and strong, then weak and loving,” she thought. When the music started up again, a tall very thin woman dressed in a laced and golden stitching gown, began her decent down the aisle. She recognized to be Cassandra. Behind her came Aristia in equally beautiful robes, made of pure golden linen and a crown of leaves made of gold on her head. Cassandra sat by an elf, Devina did not recognize. She did not know whom the elfish man she was with, she remember she heard that Cassandra had married one of her knights Solex. “EW,” she thought, “what a disgusting creature he is.” But Devina thought Jax was very handsome indeed, He was very resilient. His arms and shoulders looked like he could carry whole trees. She wondered how he could ever love such a weakling as Aristia. Devina’s stomach crawled at the sight of the two of them holding hands, was just too much for her. Devina’s also noticed Cassandra was with child, she was caught off guard and she looked so happy it made her sick. Then Aristia turned and saw Devina, as she walked. Devina could not ask for more of a surprise look on her sister’s face, then when their eyes meant. They sneered at each other for just a moment. Aristia just turned and walked past her. Aristia walked down the aisle, and there was Jax, near the high Istar Aragoth. She looked above and saw light yellow candles that floated in the midair sideways. White roses were wrapped around giant white stone pillars. Fairies flew over the people in the audience sprinkling fairy dust over them. Luther and Loralia sat in the front row, holding their baby girl Andromedia, and their newborn son Zax. She seemed like she was floating down the aisle rather than walking. When she got to Jax, she turned to him, and began to speak. “I Aristia, take Jax to be my King and to be my love for all eternity. I will love you and never for sake you. I will trust you with my heart, and I know you will keep it safe from harm. I will never look at another as I look at you. I swear this on by my grandmother’s name, the high priestess Ashley. Then Jax steered at her with his big emerald eyes and started to speak. “I Jax, son of Belton of the high priest of the wooden Elven tribe, take you Aristia, to be my queen. I shall serve you my entire life. I shall never for sake you, loving you, sharing peace, and protecting you with my life. I shall never look at another all of my days, may we be together in peace forever, blessed be. And may the moon and the stars bless us on our journey within the lighted path. Devina wanted to vomit. The ceremony was finally over, and the pixies took flowers and drop them on the wedded couple. Magic golden streams of light encircled the two of them. The istar smiled at both of them, and told them to be at peace, and then he left. The guest was directed by a voice without a face to go to the ballroom, to feast and dance to celebrate this couples union. Everyone went except for Devina; she instead headed for the tower that stood separate from the castle. She knew she had to see if Womp was still standing guard. After the ceremony her maidens escorted Aristia to the ballroom and Jax followed. Cassandra looked around, and around but she could not find Devina. “Where did she go?” she whispered to herself. Cassandra wondered. Not seeing her caused her great worry. Cassandra became concern, she began search for her little sister. She ordered some of the elven knights to search the castle for Devina. She did not want Devina doing anything to disrupt the ball. A few minutes went by and knight came to Cassie and whispered “The she-elf you seek was seen heading up to the tower, the queen’s tower.” That was the highest tower on the castle, the one that you could see most of the valley from. It was nightfall Devina wanted to see if her men had entered the portal or not. When she got to the roof of the tower she looked out to the portal over on the big-bedded rose hill, but saw nothing. “What are you doing out here sister,” Cassie wondered. “Nothing Devina.” responded. “If you don’t mind it is it rather quite stuffy in there.” Devina continued arrogantly. “I came out for some fresh air sister. Are you following me?” Devina replied softly. “I know you were not in the forest all this time, I had my birds searching for you there,” Cassie said in sly tone. Devina’s glared at her “Are you spying on me? What business is it of yours where I dwell,” Devina retorted. “It is my business to know what you’re up to,” Cassie retorted. “What you are now Aristia’s spy as well,” Devina retorted back. “You are dangerous,” Cassie shouted. “Well your scouts must have missed me, because I lived there for long time.” Devina lied. Cassie interrupted.” No you lived with the trolls in the swamp in Egmish, in the troll castle.” Cassie assisted. ” Maybe I do now or maybe I don’t,” Devina responded with a scoff. ” You know big sister, even after Aristia tried to condemn me to the forest of redemption; I came up with a plan to make peace with her, with you. Why do you bicker with me over nonsense,” Devina retorted. “Nonsense, the way you murder people for selfish reasons,” Cassie shouted. “I will not stand here and bicker with you on such a fine evening Devina,” Cassie calmed. “Neither will I bicker with you, “Devina answered. As Cassandra began to leave Devina stopped her and said, “You know Aristia is a liar, you know. Behind those golden cheeks of hers and that smile, lays someone more dangerous than me,” Devina retorted. Devina pointed out, “Aristia is not the absolute ruler she pretends to be. She is merely a steward to oversee the laws of the land. The real power is with the Guardians of Destiny. Enchantia was supposed to be divided among the three of us.” “How do you know this?” Cassandra queried. “An old woman came to me in the woods, her name is Morianna. She told me she was Aoni’s sister. She was banished there by Aragoth many hundreds of years ago. She thought Ashley was still queen of Enchantia. I told her she was wrong. When I found my way out of that nightmare; I found a book from my pouch which confirmed that Ashley spoke before her death and told Aragoth the rule must be divided into three. (“My three grand-daughters are to be queens. So There won’t be any more bloodshed.”) Cassie scoffed, and then responded. “Yes it’s true. But I do not wish to have rule and as for you, there is one little glitch in that your, EVIL!” Cassandra continued, “I know you mated with a troll and I know you live there. What kind of fool do you take me for? I have sent scouting birds and they told me exactly where you are. So you are trying to hide from Arista above the clouds. I too live above the clouds but higher.” Cassie spoke. Devina chuckled, under her breath a bit. Indeed that was exactly what Devina thought of both her sister, two fools. “NO, your birds are blind.” Devina’s then snicker.” “No matter, but I am watching you; you will not be far from my watchful eye, “Cassie said coldly. Devina scoffed at her then she disappeared. Cassie stood there very skeptical at her sister. She had an uncertain feeling about Devina, like she was up to something. She stood looking and looked wondering why she would come all the way up to the tower to get fresh air, when they were just in the garden just before the ball. Cassie looked around, and something caught her eye. It was the portal, could she be looking to the portal, if yes why? Cassie wondered. Then she vanished off the rooftop in puffy white cloud of smoke. Devina went down the long spiral staircase, and down the long narrow hall, the only light now was the torches. It had become dark outside, and cold. When Devina rounded the corner, she saw a great statue of three she-elves. It was Aristia, and Cassie, and herself all in bronze and a statue of her by her chambers, “She really thinks high of herself,” Devina cackled under her breath. The three figures each were holding three spheres, and of course Aristia was holding the biggest of the three, holding it up high above her face. Aristia’s bedchamber almost took up the entire high floor of the castle tower. It had one big room, with the biggest bed Devina had ever seen. Then little rooms within it. The bigger of the rooms had tall windows from ceiling to floor and they were arched. But to her surprise there was no glass, just an open airway. Devina could imagine the cool breezes in the morning and the warm breezes in the evening sweeping through. However she thought the birds chirping in her ear in the morning would be quite annoying. Aristia and Cassandra were in one of the smaller rooms. Devina sneaked into the big one. She went right to the window, she was curious to see the view. But when she took her arm and stretched it out the window she got zapped. “A force she thought, how clever. She does not like the birds coming in uninvited either.” She muttered. Arista was talking when she thought she heard something in the other room, but started again when she thought it could be the pillars of fire popping on each side of her windows. Then Devina heard voices coming from a slightly lit room, across from her, Devina hid behind one of the tall pillars of fire. It was her sisters talking. When Aristia turned her head and began to talk again, Devina moved to the door. She listened while Cassie was talking. “Sister I don’t trust her; there is something really strange about Devina. For a moment Cassie paused. Aristia interrupted “there has always been something strange about her, even at times mother was a little afraid of her. “She knows of Aragoth and twelve guardians she knows everything. That could make her more dangerous.” Cassandra spoke. “What do you mean she knows everything Cassie,” Arista said sharply. “She knows about how the kingdom of Enchantia was not just bestowed to you, but to the three of us. I know she seeks her birthright, “Cassie spoke in whisper. But Devina could still hear. Arista was really was too busy looking in the mirror and brushing her hair to care about Devina, but she did ask how she escaped the forest. Cassie responded, she told her that she did not understand it, but perhaps there was a theory. “I believe Devina was in her right to revenge mothers’ death, and therefore she was not truly remorseful or truly guilty of the crime. You, yourself pondered it as well,” Cassie reminded her. Devina under her breath spoke;” I knew it.” “Perhaps she did not need forgiveness for that, therefore the magic that kept her there was weakened. She had also meant Morianna; perhaps she helped her to escape. Maybe Aragoth’s magic has a much stronger hold then yours,” Cassie continued. Aristia stopped brushing her hair and looked up at Cassie and spoke harshly, “Are you saying I have weak magic!” “NO, I am not. But surely you realize that Aragoth is much more powerful then you surely you realize we are only grandchildren of the gods. We don’t exactly have the same power has our grandmother did,” Cassie retorted. Devina was enjoying listening, she thought Cassie would never have the guts to be so curt. Aristia reminded Cassie that she indeed had equal power since she was conceived in Enchantia and that her and Devina was conceived in the human realm. She told Cassie that Devina could not know anything about her heritage, especially about the dark magic of Cornella. Cassie also reminded her that she couldn’t ever reveal that is was Aldora covered up our fathers’ murder and it was their mothers’ brother Gallian who killed him. “Do you think he is still alive?” Aristia asked Cassie. “I do not know Aristia. I have sent scouts to look for him ever since the time Aragoth had told us, but none have found him,” Cassie told her. “Besides Devina is really no threat, she can associate herself with whatever creature she wished. But she cannot even come close in overpowering you or me, no worries sister we have a ball to go to,” Aristia responded. “I think you’re wrong this time, blinded by your own happiness,” Cassie countered. “Is there something wrong with that?” Aristia turned backed and looked into the great gold mirror that peaked at the top of her vanity. “I am really concern sister; trolls are our enemies, much more than the humans. She is living with the troll king in his castle in Egmish,” Cassie retorted. “I say we seize her now, just in case,” Cassandra insisted. Devina just stood there and looked surprised. “I don’t care where that thing has been, as long she stays out of trouble,” Aristia said loudly. Enough for half the kingdom to hear, Devina heard it, but it did not bother her. She already had put her plan into effect, and now she was waiting for the result. She knew the two were coming and quickly without being seen she rushed from the room. Devina scampered off down the hall. What Aristia said, just made her hate her all the more, and Devina was going to enjoy it all the more. Aristia danced with Jax until her feet were soaring, loving every minute of her time with him. Cassie was making rainbows, over their heads as they danced. All night Cassie was seeing images, fighting ones at that. She asked Aristia multiple times to expunge her sister Devina from the kingdom. But Aristia refused. Aristia wanted after the ball to speak to Devina herself. Cassie did not think that was a good idea. Cassie also did not see Devina anywhere in the ballroom. The whole ballroom was full of music and dancing. Song filled the air as well as laughter. Luther, Jax’s older brother made a toast to the couple, “May the four winds take you safely on your new journey of life. You are Beautiful Aristia. Truly brother, your queen is beautiful.” Clapping broke out in the ballroom and laughter again from many hundreds of guest. Then the istar Aragoth spoke, “By the sea of stars, at last there is joy back in the land of Enchantia. Ashley would be proud to call you grandson in law. Ashley would be proud of a granddaughter so true in heart, so very beautiful. Aristia your grandmother Ashley and your great grandmother Aoni would be well pleased with you, in a choice in a life mate,” Aragoth spoke and then he could not help but continue, “Aristia your beauty shines brighter than our radiant sun overhead. I knew since you were in your mother womb, you were special. I gave your mother the chest of spheres as gift to you and your sisters to return here someday and restore the peace both Ashley and Aoni fought so hard with their lives. You truly bring them honor and respect this day. May the days be green and the breeze is, on your backs,” He held up his mead, with everyone else exclaimed Hail to the winds of Enchantia and to all their beloved queens past present and the future. Devina listened to all that and it made her angrier. Since now she had learned she was a grandchild of two queens she wanted more power and acceptance. But there was not going to be any more peace. The kingdom needs stability and order and a stronger queen. Besides she still planned to regain power of the humans, and that was the key. The elven people would surely be grateful if they had there our land back. Devina would be herald as the queen of the land, and then she be remembered for centuries. Still laughing and more toasting were going on until there was a sudden cry, from the crowd. A she-elf, yelled, “TROLLS!!!” Every one gasped at once, Devina just smirked a little then backed up into a little corner. But Cassie ran from across the room and just followed the crowd outside to the roof of the castle. Aristia called for her mighty knights, Jax grabbed his sword from his side and his bow. They all saw BIG UNGLY TROLLS, coming across the meadow, and with human prisoners. “Go faster you smelly human animal,” One of the trolls exclaimed. Everyone was screaming loudly, torches were blazing on the rooftop of the castle. The guards drew up the gate to courtyard, but only after Aristia order her army to capture the trolls and bring them straight to the back of the castle, where she will decide what to do with them. Devina did not like that. Aristia realized that they were carrying humans, and they were coming into the realm through the portal. Aristia through up her arms to close the portal, But Devina commanded a fireball to appear. A great fireball appeared out of nowhere and Devina was aiming without mercy at Aristia. Aristia did not see that coming for it hit and exploded right on her chest. Aristia was on fire. A great fireball as orange as the sun itself came hurtling toward her. The fire quickly consumed all over Aristia’s entire body. She was glowing as she was rolling on the ground. “Burn sister burn,” Devina chanted out loud, she caught herself even doing a jig as well, and cackling in a wicked tone as she threw another and another at Aristia. You could her Arista screaming Jax threw himself at top of her and also was on fire. Cassie then waved her hand “SHIELD.” Aristia was screaming hard. Cassie managed to put the fire out, before it killed her sister and Jax. But Aristia was badly burned all over. Jax managed to put his own self out, without damage. Cassie ordered the guards to bring Aristia to her bedchamber. Aragoth and the others did everything they could to begin to heal Aristia. Devina quickly disappeared, into a vibrant cloud of black smoke. Cassie managed to aim a fireball at Devina before she vanished, but she was already gone.
