The thyroid gland is the bodys warehouse for iodine. An iodine - TopicsExpress

The thyroid gland is the bodys warehouse for iodine. An iodine deficiency often causes low thyroid function. Although it may appear that iodine is a quick fix for thyroid issues, caution needs to be used. If thyroid function is sluggish due to an autoimmune condition, iodine should be used with extreme caution and at an extremely low dosage. For anyone without autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimotos), iodine should still be used cautiously, started at a low dosage and increased very gradually. In my practice, Ive seen several women who had fought infertility for two or more years suddenly get pregnant when they started taking iodine after assessments indicated a deficiency. Ive also seen peoples energy levels quickly return to normal, hairloss disappear, and many other symptoms vanish once iodine was started. (None of those people had autoimmune involvement.) If you have thyroid challenges, please find a practitioner you can work with who can provide correct guidance on iodine usage.
