The time I will pray for our elected leaders Is when housing becomes affordable with my fortnight salary so I can afford the best house for my family and my kids. Is when I can afford three meals a day with my fortnight salary so I can feed my family and children enough. Is when I can afford medical treatment with my fortnight salary for any medical condition right here in the country not in overseas. Is when education becomes affordable with my fortnight salary so that I can afford to educate my children in best schools. Is when I can afford the very high cost of living in the country. Is when the living standard and quality of life of the people are improved and poverty is reduced in PNG. Is when we teach our children at our schools to invent and design our own technologies and equipment. Is when I see we can be able to produce our own specialist medical professionals who can treat any medical condition in the country. Is when we have all specialist medical facilities and professionals to treat our own sick patients for any medical conditions. Is when I see our universities and colleagues can produce engineers, designers and inventors who will replace foreign consults and their influence in the country for the first of its kind. Is when I see a start of investment into other sectors of the economy of the country such as agriculture, food processing, downstream, etc. Is when I can walk the streets during any time of the day without fear of being robbed or murdered. Is when I see more than half of the population being employed. Is when I see no guns in the hands of criminals and tribal warriors. Is when I see corruption becomes part of the history not part of the future. That leader that I want for the country is still far from reach. Now what about you?
