The time has come to let our lovely Glinda go as she just isnt getting used as much as we would have liked. She is a 1988 (april) registered van. Mot until april next year, tax due at the end of this month. 95.000 miles and counting as she is in use everyday. She is a 2ltr petrol with 5 speed gearbox, which was rebuilt by Mike Chubb (no1gear) 2.5 years ago. She has had 4 brand new tyres fitted 2 months ago New rear exhaust box 2 months ago and front box and new front downpipe last year. Water pump was replaced around 1 year ago. All engine/gearbox mountings replaced with new within last year. Mechanical fuel pump replaced for new one last year. Rear brake shoes a couple of months ago replaced. I replaced the naff headlamps with a pair of golf mk 2 ones complete with hid bulbs within last 6 months. Old solex carb gone and replaced with a weber 34. Front shocks were replaced when i got her arouns 2.5 years ago and still sound. Brand new complete clutch kit fitted 2 months ago. Virtually all of the interior walls and all of the ceiling/roof have been replaced and carpeted with grey veltrim. NO LEAKS ALL DRY. Brand new gas fire fitted beginning of this year. 3 way fridge gas water heater, gas fire ,water pump all in good working order. NO SHOWER as the tray was all cracked and brittle so i boarded it over and removed the handset and replaced it with a tap. I have recently fitted 2 new skylights to the kitchen and toilet. New mixer tap over kitchen sink and new worktop also fitted recently. Newly carpeted in the rear. Double front passenger seat with 3 point belts. New starter battery last year and new leisure battery as well. I have done loads of jobs on her as she was in a sorry state when i bought her. I am asking £3000 which i think is a very reasonable price for a van which has had so much work done on it. She has a few age related dinks and marks etc on the coachbuilt part but the cab is all solid and the door bottoms had been re paneled before i got her. The scuttle panel had also been replaced. she is 26 years old so dont expect a new van, she drives well and smoothly. If you need info etc please message me and i will do my best to answer any questions you have. Van is located in Irthlingborough Near Wellingborough Northamptonshire
