The times when I find myself - increasingly I guess, if Im honest - completely drifting away from the thing Ive found myself doing for the past 31 years - Jesus - and often finding it hard to find anything in it of value to me now (or - and thus? - the world) are interrupted by moments when I come across extraordinary new things or because, like this case, someone dies, so I watch a video (reminding me of watching it because I was about to direct it, 13 years ago) and see something that makes me not remember but notice, like its the first time, that theatre can be essential.
