The timing in which it was decided to approve the West Bank railway plan is not accidental. It is not accidental that while Netanyahu declares that Israel is ready to seat at the negotiating table with a genuine intention to discuss peace, he does everything on the ground to make the Palestinians not wanting to seat at his same table. And then he can say his favorite statement: "there is no partner for negotiations". So here are a few examples, only from this past week, of everything that the Israeli government is doing to avoid negotiations: 1) the West Bank railway plan which aims at creating continuity between the railway system within the green line and the planned railway system in Judea and Samaria; 2) the plan to build a new residential neighborhood in Beit-El; 3) support to the Ministerial Committee to enact the law proposed by Orit Struck which wishes to extend Israeli Law to the Occupied Territories. Sitting at the negotiationing table while continuing to do everything on the ground to erase the 1967 lines is an insult to us, the Palestinians, and all those who are hoping for a better future.
