The tooth fairy was able to come up with $2 this morning, but she forgot to take the tooth. Somehow, during sleep, the tooth apparently fell on the floor, and later, the same thing happened with the money. I suspect the tooth fairy couldnt find the tooth in the dark and didnt want to wake anyone up by turning on a light. When Zane woke up, he immediately started searching under the pillow. Nothing. He looked on the floor and found the tooth was still there. Shocking. I couldnt believe the tooth fairy wouldnt give him anything so we kept looking. Sure enough, the money had fallen down there, too. He had to crawl under the bed to get it. He was clearly expecting more. I could tell because of his lack of enthusiasm. Then, he spent breakfast time pondering on why the tooth stayed. At first, he thought she may have been late and had to leave suddenly so didnt have time for it. He did believe, he said, that this was proof that the tooth fairy is real because even I didnt know where the money was. His final thought before school was that the tooth was left so he could put it under his pillow again and probably get more money. My question: Should the tooth disappear today? He did mention once that she might come back today and get it. LOL
