The tragic reality of the disease of addiction is that it’s progressive and it’s fatal. All too often this disease claims the lives of so many amazing people, both old and young, male and female. I’d like to have a moment of silence for all those amazing and wonderful individuals who have passed before us after battling the immense emotional, mental and physical agony of this disease. My heart goes out to each and every one of you who have lost someone close to you as a result of this disease. This is nothing short of a tragedy, although this doesn’t have to be the end result.
