The truth about obesity: 10 shocking things you need to know - the Guardian And it was allowed to happen for profit - lack of regulation and education over a long term period. #CocaCola #McDonalds. Lack of education in some pretty important areas - maybe the parents and schools were more bothered with earning money or maybe just surviving than thinking about the children and their health - they need guidance. Statistics dont lie. This lust for money we have at the expense of other more important areas makes us too busy to focus on the unhealthy impact these decisions would have on the children over a long period. The government has to take the majority of the blame, as nothing can get in the way of profit in their eyes - they are now not politicians but business people - this is not their job. Period. Focussing on money blurs the vision - obesity is a good example. The lack of education and regulation in the unhealthy area of the food industry is criminal. To play an educational advert over and over again on the tvs and billboards for healthy eating - would have worked well alongside the correct level of regulation. Instead you have nonstop adverts for gambling, fast food restaurants and short term loans - and this is after the banks push credit cards and loans your way. #Debt for life. A master plan by the short term warriors who cant see shit, and refuse to acknowledge the damage over the long term. And you still listen to the government, and believe they care about you? Short term profit over long term gains, always. #Regulation #Criminals After the World Cup Im pretty sure Im going to be a gambling addict - I already feel a huge urge every time I go online or walk past a bookies. Or maybe Ill keep walking towards Wonga and QuickQuid. Maybe a take-out twice a week. The government and other non-compassionate individuals will blame the individual for eating cheap and fattening foods. Ill blame the government and the big business food industry. #Education Healthy food is a healthy mind and a healthy body - plus you will rarely be ill. Eating for the taste is also a short term gain as most fattening foods are there just for taste - you get nothing after the meal is finished except a widening waist. To eat what is healthy rather than for the taste should be on everybodys radar - most people in this world get next to nothing to eat. To indulge, to fail. #morebs
