The truth is, youre never going to meet someone who isnt going to hurt you. In one way or another, youre going to get hurt. In fact, the more you care about someone, the more hurt youre gonna feel when that someone does something that you dont exactly like. And guess what? Youre also gonna be the one who causes pain as well, even if you didnt mean to. Pain is just inevitable and we cant avoid it no matter how hard we try. You know what we can do though? We can decide who hurts us and whos worth suffering over. We can decide who we give that power over us to. We can choose whether or not if the pain is worth it. Even the most perfect boyfriend or girlfriend will end up hurting you and things are going to get ugly from time to time, but the pain is just a reminder that the feelings are as strong as ever and that you are a part of something that is real. A relationship isnt a relationship if it doesnt have any pain because you gotta be sad in order to appreciate being happy and you gotta cry first before you can see the joy in smiling.
