The underlying (dormant) potential is still there to repeat the actions... (christians during the inquisitions/crusades). As a potential convert, you are courted. As one who has rejected their truth, that one is damned and to be shunned.. I know those who are experiencing the hatred. Given the license by whomever, it could quickly turn ugly. Nazi Germany was in the upper-crust of intelligent elite, great moves to stop animal cruelty... Etc. and they were capable of cruelty or passivity as OVER 6 million Jews ( we dont even have full numbers) plus millions of others were swept into their cruel nets. Dont discount mob mentality that can be a factor, as well! The sweetest xtians have been & continue to be horribly cruel ( lawfully) to the most precious people in my life who have come out of xtianity and into Jewish study/lifestyle!
