The varsity softball team defeated Overbrook 10-0 yesterday! Jackie Lesher was the winning pitcher. The Colts had 17 hits and were led by Jodi Cook, Jackie Lesher, Haley Hulitt, and Dakota Kiker, who each contributed 3 hits to the win. Great job, Colts! The Colts varsity baseball team got its first victory of the season against Oakcrest, winning 7-0 behind a strong pitching performance by Jason Coombs, who went seven scoreless innings. The offense was led by Michael Foytik, who went 2-4 with a double and a homerun, and Ryan Davis, who went 3-3 with a triple. The Colts next game is home on Friday against Deptford. JV baseball moved to a 2-0 record after a victory over Oakcrest yesterday. The pitching staff did a great job holding their opponent to only 1 run, with 3 strikeouts, until the 7th inning. Highlights included hits up and down the lineup, and doubles from Justin Bietsch, Hunter Jackson, and Brian Ambros. Ty Rieger got the big-run inning started for the Colts in the 7th with a leadoff triple. The final score was 6-5 in favor of the Colts after a nail-biting final inning. The girls golf team lost at Moorestown, but scoring for the Colts were Ashley Evans, Courtney Musick, Krystal Murphy, and Carly Malestein. The boys golf team suffered its first defeat of the season yesterday to Clearview, 162-180, but Parker Smith shot a 43 and Blake Kazaoka added a 44. Keep up the great effort, Colts!
