The very recent successful launch of Mars Orbiter Mission, MOM into earths orbit has thrown a great opportunity for India to come out as a leader in preparing for the planetary exploration. The present mission is completely an indigenous effort and has given ample opportunity to take a huge chunk of scientific challenges on finding life beyond earth. To provide an overview of the MOM to the student fraternity, IEEE GRIET SB is organising a section level technical talk on Chandrayaan-I, Stepping stone for Indian Mars Orbiter Mission, MOM by Dr.S.M.Ahmed( Principal Scientific Officer (Central Instruments Laboratory, University of Hyderabad)).
