The vicious beating of Robert Sager at Mollys Pub (now closed, thankfully) reminds us of North Buffalo teenager Richard Long, who was beaten to death by Buffalo Police Officers Phil Gramaglia and Gary Atti in 1977 after a traffic incident. We hope that Sager fully recovers and that justice is swift and severe for the off-duty officers (and bar manager) who allegedly beat this young man, an Air Force reservist who was supposed to be married in July.
