The video below is from a Vintage race at Texas World Speedway recently. Skip posted it to demonstrate the importance of wearing a head and neck device. While WRL prefers NecksGen, devices from Zamp, Leatt or Hans are also accepted and encouraged. But there is another very important point to be made. All too often, racers treat yellow flags (and specifically waiving yellow flags) as merely a no passing flag. Wrong. Every yellow flag means CAUTION (and no passing), and in most organized track events a waiving yellow flag means there is something on the racing surface ahead that you could collide with - a car, a part of a car, an EV stopped to render aid, etc. Slow down, eyes up, head on a swivel. Be prepared to alter your line significantly. Remember: Its not just your life and your safety that you hold in your hands. What you do (or dont do) could impact the lives and safety of others on the track. youtu.be/pX8r5ZyHvGw
