The village/town where I was born and grew up was built around the Catholic Church which was built in 1080. Since then it was destroyed by an earthquake, burn down by fire twice...yet it still stands and it looks better than ever. During my visit as I arrived, Sunday I went to mass and it felt good to see that the church still fills up every time, years might pass by, yet things dont change. I was baptized there, served as an altar boy for 10 years, have seen friends and relatives tie their lives together. There is a peace between those walls, that is really hard to find anywhere else.
