The voice of the Lord twists the Oaks and strips the forests bare. And in his temple all cry, Glory! Psalm 29:9 The rawness of this verse is exhilaratingly beautiful. As we hear His subtle yet powerful whisper, the realization can tear through us and twist our insides with a rush of emotions: fear, anxiety, incompetency, confusion, excitement, self-preservation... Then only as we allow Him to strip us of this and are left naked, bare, and pure of purpose can we truly reflect Him in any circumstance or conversation. God is glorified IN our rawness; for, He is all that is left to be seen when we un-tether ourselves from the layers of excuses we use and hide behind.
