The votes are in, the people of District 13 have spoken: Christopher Olson will be the newest member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from District 13. My friends, It is hard to fathom that an idea that started almost a year ago, to get involved at such a crucial point in our state’s history, has now resulted in my election to the North Dakota House of Representatives. I want to thank everyone who supported and believed in me and in this campaign, as well as all those from District 13 who came out to vote and made this victory possible. I thank Sen. Judy Lee and Rep. Kim Koppelman for being such amazing running mates. Their campaign experience, wisdom and advice made for a strong and exciting campaign. I also thank Rep. Alon Wieland for all of his past service to our state and community and for his support in believing in and encouraging me in this race. Alon, you’ve done a wonderful job, and we are excited to honor your service on November 15th! To the District 13 Republicans and executive committee: I thank each of you for your dedication to this race, for coming to the meetings, for handling the finances and the bills, for setting up meetings and events. We couldn’t have done it without your help. A very big thank you goes out to Rod St. Aubyn. Rod, your assistance as Alon’s “right hand man” was a true asset to our team effort. I can’t thank you enough for the time and energy you put in to putting us over the top. To all of the volunteers who supported our District Campaign, to all of those who put up yard signs and told their friends and neighbors about me, and all those who worked behind the scenes who are too numerous to mention, and any I have forgotten to mention: You all have my deepest gratitude. And to those who encouraged me most to run, to put myself forward to serve the People of this great state - this is not a commitment I take lightly, and I am humbled by all of you coming together to support and encourage my candidacy.
