The wait is over. Ive finally been nominated to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Im nominating Jenny Zwilling Wire, Nate Shadoin and Mandy Pietrykowski. More importantly, Im donating $100 to ALS research in honor of Tim Tresnick. Tim was a great friend to my uncle Keith who lost his battle with Lou Gehrigs disease. I hope, through the thousands of ice buckets dumped on noggins across the country, the understanding of this devastating disease becomes more widespread. Tim was a talented, outgoing, and energetic man who worked with his hands as an electrician. As this disease progressed, he lost his ability to work, to walk, to talk, and eventually to live. It was a slow and painful fate that no one should endure. Please take 10 minutes and go to alsa.org to learn about this disease after you watch me get wet like a fool. Thank you.
