The way Haoles (those lacking breath) that came here took the land redivided and sold it has always just blown me way but not to shocking from the same people who have worked against nature in everyday thinking that theyre in control. The Hawaiian Ahupuaa system of Land division and growing food is ingenuous and helped them sustainably grow food in the best possible food, thriving with our any outside imports and using the water to most Akamai way working with the contours of the land and allowing the water the flow through Kalo Lois and back into the river and on its way to the next persons Loi utulizing seails to water other plants we should have never stuck a single pipe into our sacred land or a single irrigation tubing system. The lad managing and division now is working completely against nature even if your someone who wants to work in harmony with the land on your own property, unless your so blessed to be on a parcel that is actually laid out by a river in part of an ancient ahapuaa I find it incredibly hard to lay out a permaculture system that will work almost effortlessly with the land, this land this island is one big ecosystem and as we all know everything is connected and effects everything around it.
