The way that this story was reported and harshly commented on was disturbing to me. Even within this article they lead the reader to believe that Robin was struggling with sobriety. That wasnt the case. He had been sober for eight years. He went to Hazelden for a spiritual retreat and tune up. I think suicide provokes a lot of fear and reactions tend to confirm this. He was sober but he had other mental and physical conditions that overwhelmed him. I think all that is warranted is sympathy. The world and especially the recovery community lost a great friend and that is sad.
