The way that we do business has changed exponentially over time - TopicsExpress

The way that we do business has changed exponentially over time and continues to change. Growing up as a child there were no cell phones. We learned how to properly address an envelope and how to properly WRITE a letter (not type). We learned to do math the good old fashion way - with paper and pencil. Now, our children dont have to address envelopes; they send emails. They dont have to be able to add 1+1; they just pull out their calculators. Plain ole communication has severely diminished because society has become so heavily reliant upon the cellular devices. My grandson wont know how to play a traditional game because the only games he knows are the video games played on the television and those that are on the iPads, tablets, or phones. I mean seriously children dont even know how to look for books in the library! Who/what is the Dewey Decimal system? They dont have a clue. What are your thoughts on how technology is impacting education, relationships, our homes, etc.?
