The weather advice has been updated by BoM SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for DAMAGING WIND and HEAVY RAINFALL For people in the Central, East Gippsland, Northern Country, North Central, North East, West and South Gippsland and parts of the Mallee, South West and Wimmera Forecast Districts. Issued at 3:00 pm Wednesday, 7 January 2015. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Horsham, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Geelong, Melbourne, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
