The weaving story just aired on National Public Radio. The weaving was said to be ornate and not likely the work of the children, a fine Persian rug displaying the Garden of Eden. The Coolidge family had it until 1973, when it was returned to the White House for storage. Display was considered this winter, but was cancelled, the expert suggested Turkey would have been offended at the display, since the rug was ostensibly to thank the US for helping Armenian orphans after the 1915 genocide in Armenia. The expert is named Phillup something, I didnt catch his last name, it might be on the public radio website. The guest said the US administration likes to avoid the word genocide for diplomatic reasons.
