The weekend before last we drove to Trieste in Italy for a relaxing four days. A lovely drive through Austria and Slovenia, only 7 hours from home. What a beautiful town Trieste is, very old but very clean and with a lot of history. Beautiful little streets, lots of coffee-shops and green places to relax. Everything very reasonably priced too. The Mediterranean (or Adriatic as it is called at this point) was very blue and calm. Highly recommend Trieste for a chill holiday.
