The widest door we can leave open for the enemy to cause havoc in - TopicsExpress

The widest door we can leave open for the enemy to cause havoc in our lives is the door of unforgiveness. He can have a hay day with your life if you are walking around in unforgiveness. All that bitterness, strife and resentment is a sure way to also NOT get your prayers answered. When someone hurts us the first thing we want to do is shut them out of our lives, we put up a wall so that they cannot hurt us again. It is a natural reaction but not a spiritual one. God wants us to walk in love and mercy even if you did nothing wrong, you are not the bad guy here, but God says we still have to forgive and have mercy on them and not let the sun go down on our anger. So lets think about this for a minute IF they have hurt you intentionally then they are going to have to deal with God and it is another reason why we should pray for them and pray that God forgives them, God does not deal lightly with those that hurt his kids. So forgive, let it go and have mercy so that you will be shown mercy. You will have peace in your life, prayers can be answered and you know what it takes more energy to be mad then it does to just forgive and they are only hurting themselves by hurting you. Galatians 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Matthew 6:15 - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Colossians 3:12 - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Ephesians 4:26 - Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.
