The word is out…On Saturday 31 January, Queenslanders will cast their vote to determine the political future of our great state! But people will miss out on having their say if they are not enrolled, and time is running out. We especially urge all new Queenslanders to take their rightful place in our state’s democratic process! To vote in the election, you must make sure you are enrolled to vote by this Saturday 10 January at 5pm. If you are an Australian citizen and over 18 you are eligible to vote in the election, and indeed must vote. To enrol, go to aec.gov.au/enrol/. Please note that you must also complete the enrolment form if either your name or address have changed since the last time you voted. If you are not sure if you are enrolled correctly or not, you can find out at https://oevf.aec.gov.au/.
