The word karma simply means action. We know how action works through Isaac Newtons 3rd Law of Physics "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." In the east they understood this very basic principle of the universe we live in. When we look at karma or action/reaction we have to look at it from a larger point of view. Our infinite self or the infinite universe is perfect just the way it is, therefore there is no such thing as good or bad karma. There is no vendetta the universe holds against us for our actions or some huge reward in the distant future for being good. Our actions or karma simple cause a reaction, and like waves on a pond those action continue on infinitely. With this in mind it is very simple to understand that certain actions cause specific reactions. It is very likely that if you do loving things you will incite loving reactions or if you act violently you will incite violent reactions. This is not as black and white as it sounds . People do loving things all the time and horrible things happen, and people do horrible things and seem to end up living like kings. Things work out this way because the universe does not judge good or bad and right or wrong. It is simply designed to infinitely react to actions. Build your world around this, if you want a world full of love act lovingly to incite love based reactions. Do this with the wisdom to understand that it will not always work that way from time to time. Our ability to choose and incite action into reaction is a gift from the universe that we are one with, and we are a reflection of that universe that functions the same way. The universe is one giant consciousness. It does not judge, have an agenda, or set punishments. It simply just is, it is ever constant and perfect. When we move out of our space of thought based judgments we simply relax into our infinite consciousness that is the universe we are one with. We will talk about the paradox of how thoughts manifest a duality that is made out of infinite oneness on another occasion :-)
