The world’s deepest swimming pool, completed earlier this year, is located in the small Italian town of Montegrotto Terme. It’s deep. So deep in fact, it usually takes scuba tanks to get to the bottom. Dubbed the “Y-40,” a unique feature about this pool is that the water is kept at a constant 32 to 34 degrees Celsius (roughly 90 degrees Fahrenheit), which is rather difficult considering it measure 18 x 21 meters (59 x 69 feet), has a maximum depth of 40 meters (131 feet) and holds 4,300 cubic meters (1,135,940 gallons) of water. The pool was built inside the luxurious 4-star hotel Terme Millepini with the goal of creating “the best swimming pool in the world,” its official website said.
