The year 2014 I learned more about myself than I thought possible. - TopicsExpress

The year 2014 I learned more about myself than I thought possible. Even though I get to start 2015 from a wheelchair I would like to take this moment to invite my real friends to join me on any of my adventures this year. I am going to be in the wheelchair for the first few months but I refuse to let that keep me down. Physical Therapy is giving me the strength and determination that I need to keep me on the up and up. Therefore I am planning some trips this summer, and they go as follows. Jan- Rehab the leg, As of now I am non weight bearing, but the other leg and my upper body can do work. I am here in Oregon for now and am going to try my hardest to rehab and continue to strengthen and grow. Feb- Continue on the Non weight bearing and hopefully be able to start swimming again. This sounds boring but it is part of the process in getting my leg back to full function. March- Hopefully by then I am going to be at partial weight bearing to weight bearing as tolerated. The best part about this is I will be able to do some hiking with a cane. So I know it sounds silly say but I am stoked to get here April- Zion, I am planning on doing Fat mans Misery to the Barracks, and then up to Orderville; Then it will be a trip down Buckskin Gulch, 2 day Photography trip. May- Rafting Trip down Cataract Canyon, 5 Day trip, focusing on the side canyons and the hiking to be had. Moab Trip, Spending some time in arches national Park, planning on some climbing, hiking, and playing in the canyonlands while I am out there. June- Ironman Boise 70.3... It is a long way and the training is going to be one of the rougher things to do yet I am going to redeem myself from this last year. I am also going to be doing Choprock canyon, Neon Canyon, Ringtail Canyon, and Baker Canyon. This is a little preview of the year to come, but If you are a friend of mine, you are invited to join.
