The year 2014 may not be apparently great for me but I have - TopicsExpress

The year 2014 may not be apparently great for me but I have learned innumerable life lessons worth learning and sharing. FIRST QUARTER OF THE YEAR. It was that time when I had such unexplicit emotions. I have left the company who gave me so much opportunity, allowed me to meet some international friends and taught me the value of pouring more effort and efficiency towards my job. It was also the time when I finally decided to put my dreams into reality. I left my loved ones, set my goal, flew thousands of miles and discovered a new venture; not thinking about any consequences I may face. SECOND QUARTER OF THE YEAR. My first months in Dubai. Everything was just hectic. I spent most of my time searching for jobs online, had to stay up late and wake up early, walk at the center of the scorching sun and impress the panel of interviewers just to secure a spot in a highly reputable company. I was so happy then. I passed my final interview! (Pasok sa banga!) THIRD QUARTER OF THE YEAR. The most poignant part of my year and prolly the lowest point of my life. I left Dubai for an exit to a beautiful place - Kish, Iran. Kish is a place where hopes and dreams may not be favourable to some. Its a piece of island where you have no choice but to deal with a unique kind of culture, adjust with the strict governing law and mingle with newly found people which will eventually become your friends. I have had the chance to meet types of people with different personalities, different stories and different overviews in life. In short, its a small place that offers serenity and beauty. Its just up to your choice wether you have to enjoy or put yourself into a seclusion. Whilst I was at the middle of waiting for my highly coveted employment visa and almost at the verge of losing my patience, my family have lost its backbone - my Papang. I wept and mourned, because Ill be missing my voice coach, my best friend, my confidante. I am saddened by the fact that he may not be able to witness the fruit of my hardships and experience the life we have once dreamt. Anyhow, I know for sure that he is now happy with what I have achieved. FOURTH and FINAL QUARTER OF THE YEAR. I told myself, I have moved on and Im ready to succeed. All the heartaches, failures and remorse have all been set aside. I now have an amazing job and wonderful superiors who are truly supportive of my talent, and I got few people who are proud of me and never have doubted my intentions. My whole year may not be as colorful as it seems, but I am thankful that God always walks by my side; reminding me that life is short, yet it has more good things to offer. He has given me tough battles but eventually have rewarded me with the gift of understanding my purpose. Life lessons are learned not only during hard times, it also happens when you open your heart, understand other peoples shortcomings, and realize that sometimes you also have to slow down and give thanks to whatever you have received. HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! Lets savour the remaining hours and lets all dream for a better tomorrow! :D
