The year 2015 has begun to unwind itself. Today is the first day - TopicsExpress

The year 2015 has begun to unwind itself. Today is the first day of the year and it was one of leisure, of contemplation, of restoring ones self-balance. It holds promise as its forbears have delivered in the past. The number eight (8) has, traditionally, been kind to me. 2015 - add digits and sum equals 8. The number 8 has a certain symmetry to it. It is seductive and carries several connotations. An excerpt from numerology provides a summary view: QUOTE It is true that the number 8, more than any other number, puts the emphasis in the areas of career, business, finances and authority. However, as with many other single-digit numbers, the shape of the number reflects its most important attribute, and in the case of the number 8, that is, first and foremost, balance. The 8 is the great Karmic equalizer, a force that just as easily creates as it destroys. When the 8 comes knocking, you can be assured that you will reap what youve sown. The 8 balances the material and immaterial worlds. At its best, it is as spiritual as it is materialistic. The spiritual side of the 8 is practical, realistic and intelligent. It knows the difference between make-believe and genuine spiritual realizations. On the material plane, it is focused on results, often in the form of money, yet does not care much about money for the sake of money. It is not greedy, it sees money as a tool, not an end-result. It is generous and willing to take risks. People with strong 8s in their charts often make and lose fortunes a couple of times during their life. UNQUOTE In my case, as I woke up in the middle of last night, 2015 was merely a few hours old and I found myself reflecting upon what the year portends. Idly, I spun back in time to reflect upon 2006 and 1997 and 1988 and so on to assess, in hindsight, where and how I was during those past years. And, invariably, each of those years was very kind to me; that is, I managed to leverage my lucky stars. On the other hand, 2016 does not hold such a promise. If anything, it projects a decline, a certain lethargy beginning during the second half of the year, as has been the case with years associated with the number 9. As such, I am inclined to make hay while the sun shines over the next 12-18 months. I believe that the hay will be generously available for others to leverage as well since I cannot go it alone and need others who, if they choose wisely, will find themselves benefitting from it. Day One of 2015 is extant but on the verge of closing out here in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Day Two is around the corner, preparing to cast its own nuanced shadows upon our lives. Let us rest. Let us track our forward movement through the remaining 364 days of 2015.
