Their Grouse by Tochukwu Michael Okonkwo Last December, 16 oil - TopicsExpress

Their Grouse by Tochukwu Michael Okonkwo Last December, 16 oil Blocks came up for renewal, and there are another 29 up now for renewal but GEJ has stubbornly refused to renew them. All these blocks are owned by our Northern Emirs and Oligarchs, dont forget 80% of the blocks are owned by them, though 40% proceeds go to the Federal government. The late Emir of Kano had 4 that came up for renewal in FEBRUARY of last year and all 4 were withdrawn from him and no renewal deal negotiated. Sanusi, in a bid to display combatant style, that hes known for, came out fighting and wrongly accusing the government of stealing BILLIONS of Dollar. Why did he not follow suit by suing NNPC? You cant sue based on conjectures but hardcore evidence and he knew it. Where was he when this money were not remitted being the CBN Governor then?. Hell knows no fury like the skull of a man scorned. These people have been scorned, thats a fact. Without noise or bruhahaha! OBJs block too that Conoco Phillips, the oil giant from America was buying from was also refused to be renewed. Coonoco phillips were forced to negotiate the Blocks in Bayelsa and that they did, hence, why Conoco philips operates the Brass terminals now, they bought their blocks. It was not a coincidence that Sanusi, the new Emir of Kano and OBJ, exchanged letters both accusing the government of complicity in the lost of assumed or presumed money and some convoluted billions of Dollars missing from NNPC. Was money missing? I am not sure, maybe. But the whole truth is, these were oil blocks fights and sore losers believe they should come and paint the government black. I am yet to understand the exact figures till date from Sanusi. From 49B Dollars to 12 and finally 20B. Have they given any iota of evidence to these incessant countless allegations? No! These folks are losing revenues because the conduit pipes and flanks to continue stealing us blind, are being blocked. The trendiest trend is to hit the government on the balls where it really hurts. Conjectures but not evidence reign supreme. Nigerians love drama. GEJ, is too docile, too simple, hes not feeding our dramatic egos and stupidity. Did these corrupt practices start in his days? No, but long before he was born, and why should it be stopped by him, small boy from Otuoke? These intrigues and drama are about oil. Business is not carrying on as usual. Its now a new day, not about them alone but about Nigerians. They dont want it? Why should the late Emir alone have 4 blocks and free too? Do you know how much revenues accrued to these folks daily? No you dont want to know. Now it is clear, the war is about oil and nothing else.
