Theme: Forgiveness.(P2). Why should I forgive? You forgive not because you are not hurt but because you understand that the offender intended to harm you but God intended his evil for good. Gen. 50:20. Joseph had many reasons not to forgive the brothers because they sold him into slavery to be killed. Their evil intention had rather catapulted Joseph from a houseboy into a prime minister in foreign land. Get this! A man had a big tree in his house that was his source of medicine, fruit and shade for him. One day he travelled when it rained heavily. The leaves of the tree littered the house with very offensive odour. He brought in his girlfriend but she left that day because of the bad odour. He was very angry and chopped off the tree that night. Unfortunately, the tree fell on his roof and damaged it. That same night there was a heavy downpour. What do you think will happen to his health? Think of it! There are always thousand reasons to be angry but for one good reason, forgive. MEDITATION: “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath” Eph.4:26 DECLARATION: Dear LORD, make every evil intended against me (name) turn for my good and promotion in Jesus Christ name!!! PRAYER: As you declare, may the LORD promote you higher than those who intended to harm you like he did for Joseph in Jesus Christ name!!!!!!!
