Theo Van Vuuren Water update A range of problems are being experienced. ben Botes, William and their teams are working on it, and they are being assisted by staff from the sanitation network team. Their main problem is that we only have one back acter this morning due to breakages and that delays the ability to open all problem areas. 1. Tasbet Park will only be attended to this afternoon, as soon as x 8 pipe break has been prepared. they will finalise that this morning. 2. x 10 has water again. It would appear as if a valve was closed by somebody. That was a malicious act and I need to ask the community to report where they see people just closing valves in suspicious circumstances please. 3. Del Judor 2 water is also interrupted but that will be resolved as soon as the pipe break in Tasbet is done. 4. There is one area in Duvha without water. Its not a pipe break, possibly a air block. they are busy souring the line to resolve this issue. 5. Ogies and Phola have a problem as somewhere on the line their is either a valve closed or a massive pipe break. This is being investigated but I can not give you more details at this stage. 6. Water quality is improving. At the purification works there was a problem with the filters which has now been resolved. We however need to add new filter sand and can only order that on Monday. Water samples also indicate that some areas are receiving varying degrees of water quality, this is being investigated and may show on localised problems in pipes. In some areas where pipes have been repaired you will experience some bud in the water but this should wash out soon. 7. Point E is full and this assist us now to feed Hlalanikahle areas directly. There should be a better water distribution and availability in these areas now.
