Theos Story: Same but different. Theo is a 10 years old kid, he is VI (visually impaired), in other words, hes half blind, who might be completely blind as he gets older. He hates it when people treat him in a nice way because hes NOT incapable of doing anything. An approach I like in teaching speaking & listening for B2 and C1, which is showing a video of a documentary, a motivational talk, or a cause. Then we ask the students to make groups to discuss the main points. What makes these videos special is that they grasp the students attention more than the regular movies or conversations theyve listened or watched thousands of times before or alike materials.
