There Are Three Primetime Moments In Everyday ( Excerpted from – “Your House is a Mess: And so are Your Kids”) TOPIC #3 PRIME TIME MOMENTS #3 – Dinner Dinner is one of the last times in a day that a parent will have to promote and groom the inner growth and confidence of their children. Dinnertime is meant for families to sit down together. If you do not practice this now, I urge you to begin it immediately. Dinnertime should be scheduled for the same time each and every day and should be scheduled no later than 6:30 every evening. . . . No cell phones, television, iPods or other gadgetry. Unplug them or shut them down and place them out of the kitchen, everyone’s, including yours. Families must practice this with reverence while making it a formal and reliable ritual every night of the week. This is a practice that requires moms and dads (single or married) with a moment of consistency and planning. Children and parents come together to do something in common and children look forward to these times of the day. The day is behind everyone at the table, and evening is slowly settling upon them. Family dinners should be tailored for calm, unity, and wholesome discussions free of blame or consequences. No need to rehash the issues or incidents of the day. Parents should laugh, and embrace this moment while being connected and unified. . . . . . Relax and marvel at you children . . . You are their "Love Coach" there is no better time to do your coaching!!!!
