There are 3 new movies this weekend: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (105 min ) Jack Ryan, as a young covert CIA analyst, uncovers a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack. Director: Kenneth Branagh Stars: Chris Pine, Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley Ill be seeing this tonight. Ive read a handful of Clancy books, mostly his early stuff. Im not particularly excited about this movie since its only based on the characters created by Clancy, and not one of his stories. Theres hope that it will be good. I like the cast and I think Branagh is a fine director. ------ Ride Along ( 100 min ) Fast-talking security guard Ben joins his cop brother-in-law James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta in order to prove himself worthy of marrying Angela, James sister. Stars: Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Tika Sumpter ------ Devils Due ( 89 min ) After a mysterious, lost night on their honeymoon, a newlywed couple finds themselves dealing with an earlier-than-planned pregnancy. While recording everything for posterity, the husband begins to notice odd behavior in his wife that they initially write off to nerves, but, as the months pass, it becomes evident that the dark changes to her body and mind have a much more sinister origin. Stars: Allison Miller, Zach Gilford, Sam Anderson You excited to see any of these movies? It looks like we have officially entered the Winter Lull for movies. I dont see anything big coming out until Captain America: Winter Soldier. The good news is that a hand full of these movies between now and then will turn out to be really good. Theres just no telling which ones.
