There are Facebook posts narrating the alleged irregularities in the repacking of relief goods from Indonesia by the DSWD. I personally talked to the Regional Director of DSWD here in Central Visayas, Ms Mercedita Jabagat, and she explained that they opened the packed Indonesian donations to take out the bottled ketchup because it would spoil the other items in the pack if the bottle broke. These ketchup bottles were then repacked in boxes and sent to the same destination as the other relief items. The other items remained in the Indonesian packaging but were further placed in DSWD bags with NOT FOR SALE markings. DSWD7 tried contacting the poster, a certain Ms Bartolata, to address her concern but she did not leave her number in the volunteers register. Please be careful not to erode the faith of our people in their government in this critical time by. Please evaluate texts like these before forwarding them...
