What is life? To some, life is an accident suspended by accident and heading towards an accident. Yet, others believe it is a gift from God. But just like any other gift or potential, it can be used wisely or invested. Life is the principle of mobility and power. It is the power of expression, achievement and fulfillment. For a life to be meaningful, it must have a mission, vision and power. Mission is WHAT you want to do in time and space; vision is the unique WAY you will like to execute the mission, and power is the ABILITY to do or execute the purpose. Your mission must originate from your Maker because only He knew why and what He made you for, so ask Him – it’s called prayer. Your vision goes beyond the physical sight, it is a product of insight from your heart, so ask Him and the Holy Spirit will give you the discerning heart to follow His will. The ultimate source of power is God. Every man or woman needs power to live and fulfill intention. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, (Rom. 1:16). Are you on a mission? Do you know the unique way to fulfill this divine mandate? Are you hooked to the Almighty who has the power to do all things? And in your family – is there a mission statement? Joshua said, “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
