There are better ways of coming to conclusions about reality, - TopicsExpress

There are better ways of coming to conclusions about reality, which also means there are worse ways of coming to conclusions about reality. Some of the worse ways when wanting to replace a door in your house is to use your dog. Thats right, ask your dog to do it for you. Another least likely way to have the door replaced is to ask a dowser to use his dowsing method to measure the door. Or, you can pray that a door appears or hope that Superman will replace it for you. Then there are better ways, like using a tape measure and going to Home Depot. It is true, we can utilize best well-substantiated evidential methods or the worse nonevidential faith based method of an invisible agency of some sort. Ive noticed that even believers in an omnipresent and omnipotent invisible agent still vote for more police force and will call 911 when real help is needed, because they know that is the best reasonable and logical thing to do. While they still think that it is the invisible agent or prayer that is best. This contradiction and compartmentalizing of best reality with most likely fantasy is what causes cognitive dissonance when you suggest the best well-substantiated evidential method is the actual, real and best method. It is a delusion on the part of the compartmentalization thought processes of the people that still hold to the least and most unlikely beliefs based on nonevidential faith. - Michael Jeffery
