There are certain people in this world who you never get to meet, yet somehow are able to make an impact on your life. I woke up this morning to hear the news of the passing of Stuart Scott. Words cannot begin to describe what an amazing man and role model he was for me. From his role in the movie Drum Line to his patented BOO-YAH calls on SportsCenter, there was not a man that I looked up to in the business more than him. 2 years ago Stuart agreed to be a guest on The Prowl with Austin Ford and myself. To say it was an honor would be an understatement. Stuart made time in between his rounds of chemo for Austin and I even though he had never met us. He told me an email that he will always do what he can to help. Stuart did more than help us, he taught us! He taught us that there is more to life than sports or broadcasting and to always be fighters. Cancer sucks and I am beyond sad to see Stuart go! But I know that he is in a better place now and that he is helping everyone else still battling cancer keep on fighting.
