There are little things that I experience that really let me know how far I have come in my grief since losing Jayce. The night before Jayce died we had a dance party in the living room. There was one song that came on that I love; I picked Jayce up and danced with him... singing and twirling around with him. He giggled and laughed and love it. Whenever that song came on it brought such sadness, usually I turned it off. Now, when that song comes on I am able to enjoy it and the memories it brings about our last night together. I am able to smile while listening to it. This process of entering ArtPrize, going on TV, talking about my story... it has all been so helpful in my journey. I want to thank everyone that encouraged me to enter, donated towards the entry fee and costs, and have continued to encourage me throughout the process. Without you all pushing and encouraging me I know I would not be as far as I am.
