There are many moments in life when we find ourselves becoming - TopicsExpress

There are many moments in life when we find ourselves becoming stagnant because we think too much on our past mistakes and shortfalls. Instead of seeing our past failures as steppingstones to a brighter future, we let them hinder our vision and hope for the future and we allow our past to keep us from being a success in this present time. What we must realize is that all have fallen short at one time or another. There are no perfect people in this world, but the ones who persevere and triumph over their past are the ones who realize that a new beginning is possible. The Lord Jesus is willing and able to forgive us of all our sins and create within us a clean heart that will be inclined to following the right path and accomplishing the goals and dreams that were once so evident in our hearts. If you have been feeling stuck and heard the lie that your future is dark, I want you to know that the opposite can be yours today. You can free yourself from the past and move forward towards a future that is so bright you may have to wear sunglasses. All thats required is our admittance to the Lord of our past sins and simply asking of His forgiveness. When we ask Gods forgiveness, He is faithful and just to forgive us, cleanse us and place within us a fresh start that will rejuvenate and reinvigorate our soul and spirit to believe in ourselves once again. Be encouraged to love yourself no matter how hard you try to find reasons not to. You are special in the eyes of the Lord and are alive this day to accomplish something special that no one else was born to accomplish. (1 John 1:6-10) I hope this message inspires and encourages your heart to believe in yourself again. Make a copy and leave it around you so that it can be easily read on those days where believing in ourselves is a little bit harder than the day before. TODAY I WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference. I will be grateful for the twenty-four hours that are before me. Time is a precious commodity. I refuse to allow what little time I have to be contaminated by self-pity, anxiety, or boredom. I will face this day with the joy of a child and the courage of a giant. I will drink each minute as though it is my last. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. While it is here, I will use it for loving and giving. Today I will make a difference. I will not let past failures haunt me. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failures. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. Victoriously. No failure is fatal. Its OK to stumble... I will get up. Its OK to fail...I will rise again. Today I will make a difference. I will spend time with those I love. My spouse, my children, my family. A man can own the world but be poor for the lack of love. A man can own nothing and yet be wealthy in relationships. Today I will spend at least five minutes with the significant people in my world. Five quality minutes of talking or hugging or thanking or listening. Five undiluted minutes with my mate, children, and friends. Today I will make a difference. Even though my life is scarred with mistakes, I refuse to rummage through my trash heap of failure. I will admit them. I will correct them. I will press on. By Max Lucado Read and meditate on these scriptures: James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” Psalm 23:1-4 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His names sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 37:23-26 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.” Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
