Now, understanding were discussing the problematic manhood of said putative POTUS, please bear with me nonetheless. Never trust a man who doesnt enjoy American football in any of its forms. Weve all heard it ramble embarrassingly and incoherently about its alleged fondness for Major League Baseball, with cringe-worthy results. However, it has shown some competency in discussing the NCAA basketball tournaments, even though its much ballyhood personal prowess in the sport is laughable. A competent fifth-grade girl could whip it in a game of horse. His erudition on NCAA tourney brackets won it much infamy and derision while matters of state took a back seat. Alas, I digress. Still, have you ever heard it proffer a statement of any kind regarding the manly pursuit of football? Admittedly, American football is one of the most physically intensive and gladiatorial sport endeavors to be found. It is a sport saturated with bone-crushing hits and military metaphors -- its the closest thing to combat short of lethality. Aerial assaults, ground attack, defensive stands, surgical strikes, marching down the field... the shared euphemisms are too numerous to list. Perhaps this is why the mighty generalissimo is curiously quiet on the subject. The animating contest of a truly manly activity frightens it to the core. It is a contest of men, whether as boys in a backyard playing tackle without benefit of pads and helmets (guilty as charged, hence the forgetfulness of today) or the pinnacle of the profession in the NFL. President Reagan spent days on his ranch riding horses and clearing brush from his ranch. President George W. Bush did much the same. Our current and illegitimate POTUS spends its free time pedaling girly bikes in girly helmets, or tossing errant shots at a basketball rim.
