There are many relief organizations beating the bushes right now for donations supposedly to help those affected by the typhoon. I just saw an advert for Save the Children who claims they have been in the Philippines for the past 30 years. I was there in Manila and Cebu three times twice in 04 and again in 05 I was confronted by mobs of children in the streets begging for coins, women and families living on the streets with babies on their hips and even some of those dared the traffic to tap on my cab window to demand coins. In my opinion :Save the children got but one agenda to line their own pockets. I would not give them a dime and I urge you to not donate to them or these other entities who want to collect from the public. If you know someone who has family donate to those families directly. If you doubt what Im saying is true look at the Haitians, and the rest of humanity in Africa who were affected by earth quakes and other such calamities in the past few years. The moneys collected for them are still in bank accounts of the governments and agencies who still have that money and are living off the interests that money generates.
