There are many rural shelters in the Carolinas with dedicated staff and volunteers making a difference for the animals in NC/SC. One of those is the staff/volunteers at Stokes County Animal Shelter We spoke to them before we went to hike at the Hanging Rock State Park Reach The Peaks event a few months ago but havent been able to stop by there yet.
