There are several of you in my network who I see have liked pages dealing with Yoga (Udemy is one) and even practice it. You do realize that yoga is NOT of Yah, right? Yoga is pagan, VERY pagan, in origin, with deep Eastern religious roots. It is an ancient SPIRITUAL Hindu Sanskrit Vedic practice, the root of the word yoga itself being yug, which means union with the divine and self. As a clearly HINDU practice, a believer in Yeshua should have NOTHING to do with it! Some of you have angrily emailed me privately about my presentation of the TRUTH about it and tried to justify it by saying you dont practice the spiritual part of it, but just the stretches.Those stretches you seem to feel are harmless are actually designed to open up the psyche and allow positive spiritual energy to flow. Open the psyche? Allow positive spiritual energy to flow? The question you MUST NOT IGNORE is, since these stretches open your psyche, from WHERE does that positive spiritual energy come from that flows into your psyche considering yoga is a HINDU Vedic practice?! I am sorry, but you cannot separate the origins from the practices! That would be akin to putting up an Xmas tree and decorating it with tinsel, colored balls and the like and saying you dont believe in the pagan practices of it, you just like it because it is pretty! Where in Scripture do we find any precedent for co-opting pagan, occult practices and incorporating them into our worship as believers? We find none! But we CAN find exactly the opposite! There are stern warnings in Scripture about taking part in ANYTHING.with pagan origins/connotations/practices!!! I am going to post articles by YOGA teachers and others in the comments so you can read for yourself about its origins. If you choose to ignore the information (just as Christians ignore the truth about the pagan origins and practices of Xmas and Easter) and continue to take part in yoga, then I must forewarn you that you are in direct disobedience of Holy Scripture and Elohim!!!
